Did you know that over 40 states require nonprofits conducting online fundraising campaigns to register with their state? This includes any other state into which solicitations (including e-mail) are directed. Network for Good is registered to process donations in all 50 states + DC, which means all donations processed through Network for Good's DonateNow service are covered under our state registration. This is one of the key differences between Network for Good's online fundraising services and PayPal, Google Checkout, merchant accounts, and similar online donation processors.
To learn more about state laws regarding charitable solicitations, please see the attached report written and researched at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.
