Case Study: The Nashville Peace and Justice Center

To say that communication is paramount for a community-based coalition is an understatement. The Nashville Peace and Justice Center (NPJC) depends on a weekly e-newsletter to keep their member organizations and individual members abreast of upcoming social justice programs and events throughout the Nashville area. Without their "E-Blast," NPJC would not be able to reach so many constituents in a timely, informative way.

The need for an affordable, reliable email system brought NPJC to Network for Good and their EmailNow service which provides 10,000 emails per month for a minimal fee.

NPJC attributes their outreach success to EmailNow for a few reasons:

• It provides the means in which to promote much-needed correspondence in their organization.
• EmailNow provides a valuable interface for all of our member organizations to distribute news of their sponsored events to the larger community.
• The reach of the email campaign allows and encourages a large number of community members (3,400 individual members, plus the member organizations) to become more involved in social justice issues.

According to the staff at NPJC, without EmailNow, "NPJC would have a very difficult time communicating the needs, resources and opportunities of our various community-based organizations to the city of Nashville and beyond."
